Dvůr Králové nad Labem

While walking through the picturesque valley (Babiččino Údolí) of the river Úpa, you will return to the 1st half of the 19th century, where the characters from Božena Němcová’s work “Grandmother” come back to life. That’s also where the valley got its name. You can visit Ratibořice Castle, Rudr’s Mill, the Lordly Inn, the Old Bleacher or a monument to Grandmother with Grandchildren by a Dvůr Králové native, sculptor Otto Gutfreund.
